The 2016 Champions Indoor Football playoffs begin this weekend. Your Revolution have earned a first round bye and will play June 18th. The Revolution will play the winner of the June 11 matchup between the Dodge City Law and the Amarillo Venom. That contest will be played in Amarillo, due to the loss that Dodge City suffered against Amarillo at home last weekend. Next weekends winner will claim second place in the Southern Division of the CIF and advance to play the Revolution for the right to go to CIF Champions Bowl II.
The Revolution posted a 10 and 2 regular-season record, while the Venom finished the season at 8 and 4. Dodge City also concluded the season 8 and 4. By comparison, the top two teams in the northern division of the CIF are the Wichita Force at 10 and 2 and the Bloomington Edge at 7 and 5. Wichita has earned a first round bye and will host either the Bloomington Edge or the Sioux City Bandits in the second week. Sioux City and Bloomington will face each other on June 11. The winner will advance to play in Wichita to battle for the North Division Title. Winner will also play in the CIF Champions Bowl II. If the Revs win on June 18th, the Championship will be June 27th at the Allen Event Center.
